Management of Aircraft Reliable Programme and Trend Monitoring
Aircraft reliability monitoring programme encompasses a range of sources, including but not
limited to pilot reports, technical logbooks, on-board maintenance system read-outs, reports on
technical delays and cancellations, findings during routine checks, observations during shop
maintenance, air safety reports, and stores reports. This data is systematically collected either
continuously or at predetermined intervals.
Once gathered, the data is processed and translated into graphical displays that offer a visual representation of the overall health of aircraft systems and components over a specific duration. These graphical displays serve as valuable tools for assessing whether further investigation is warranted in specific areas and whether actions are necessary to enhance the system's overall health.
The actions taken can span a spectrum, encompassing adjustments to both maintenance and operational procedures. Maintenance changes may involve alterations in frequency or functionality, amendments to maintenance manuals, initiation of modifications, provisioning of spare parts, fleet inspections, as well as staff training and adjustments to manpower and resource planning. This holistic approach ensures a proactive stance toward maintaining and enhancing the reliability of the aircraft.
